Part Time Unpaid Internship
Duration & Commitment:
Seeker Music & Recording Studios is located in Frogtown, Los Angeles
• The hours are from 11-4PM PT and 3-5 days per week (Total 15-20hrs)
• This will be an unpaid internship, in-person, for school credit over 8-10 weeks
• Preference: 3rd and/or 4th Year Undergraduates
Marketing Internship
This internship offers invaluable experience and networking opportunities in the music
industry, particularly for those interested in marketing and promotion within a dynamic and
artist-focused company. While this is an unpaid position, Seeker Music is committed to
providing a rich learning environment for professional development and offers mentorship
from experienced marketing professionals.
Key Responsibilities
• Market Research: Conduct thorough market analysis to identify current trends,
potential opportunities, and competitive strategies within the music industry.
Gather insights that will inform our marketing strategies and content creation.
• Content Creation: Assist in developing engaging content across various platforms
including social media, email newsletters, and our website. This includes writing
copy, basic graphic design, and video content creation aimed at increasing our
brand's visibility and engagement.
• Social Media Management: Support the maintenance of our social media
presence across platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and
LinkedIn. Help schedule posts, engage with our audience, and track performance
metrics to optimize our strategies.
• Event Marketing: Play a supporting role in the planning and execution of marketing
campaigns for events such as album launches, live shows, and writing camps. This
includes promotional activities, coordination with venues and artists, and postevent
analyses.
• Analytics and Reporting: Assist in tracking, compiling, and analyzing marketing
data (campaign results, conversion rates, traffic etc.) to help shape future marketing
strategies. Learn to use tools such as Google Analytics and social media insights.
• Collaborative Projects: Participate in collaborative projects with other
departments, providing marketing support and gaining insights into the
interdepartmental workings of a music publishing and record company.
Ideal Candidate:
• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree in marketing,
communications, music business, or a related field.
• A passion for music and a keen interest in the music industry.
• Basic knowledge of marketing principles and social media platforms.
• Creative and analytical thinking skills.
• Strong communication and writing skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic proficiency in digital marketing tools and software is a plus (e.g., Microsoft
Office Excel, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, TikTok CapCut/UGC content creation,
ChartMetric, etc).
