Location: New York, New York, United States of AmericaYour New Role…Concept + Design Studio is the full-service in-house partner for all things creative within Marketing's Global Brand & Creative, DTC, at Warner Bros. Discovery. Our work spans five teams and encompasses brand identity, campaigns, toolkits, key art, OOH, motion graphics, and print and digital design. Together, we create and translate the brand for any medium to best serve our stories.We are seeking a talented, creative, and highly collaborative Copywriter to drive the marketing success of the WBD DTC brand. As part of the Creative Copy & Editing team, the Copywriter will enjoy an engaging, fast-paced environment with opportunities to work directly with other Copywriters and Copy Editors, Designers, and Marketing and Production partners to deliver high-quality, targeted messaging for a wide variety of projects including paid media ads, lifecycle communications, brand campaigns, key art taglines, in-app and dotcom messaging, social scripts, and more. Equal parts wordsmith, grammar enthusiast and storyteller, the Copywriter crafts copy that makes impactful connections with our audiences. Bring your passion and be a foundational part of our dynamic studio! Your Role Accountabilities…
• Write creative, effective copy for a variety of projects and business partners
• Write paid media and social display ads based on original programming and theatricals
• Craft email messaging for CRM campaigns, push notifications and other subscriber lifecycle projects
• Develop and help lead brand campaign concepts that promote programming and product launches, holidays, and other large-scale events
• Develop taglines and additional copy for programming key art and related campaigns
• Write or edit programming synopses
• Deliver complete, error-free copy formatted in standardized copy deck template, with all necessary legal language
• Follow relevant brand guidelines for copy style, tone of voice, and target audience
• Work independently to execute assigned projects
• Understand business partner objectives and apply them to copy
• Work closely with Copy Editors to maintain all copy standards throughout projects
• Collaborate with Designers and other team members and business partners to deliver quality creative solutionsQualifications & Experience…
• Bachelor's degree in English, journalism major/minor preferred
• 3+ years of copywriting in all forms of consumer and business writing
• Knowledgeable of basic copyediting and grammar rules (and when to break them)
• Strong organizational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
• Must be a creative and dynamic self-starter, comfortable with taking initiative and able to work against deadlines with minimum supervision in a fast-paced work environment
