Part Time Paid Internship
THE POSITION
The Live Nation Strategy & Analytics team is looking for a talented intern motivated to succeed at anything they do. Are you looking for an exciting internship experience? Our paid Internship Program provides real-world experience for students interested in the live entertainment industry. After finishing this program, you will have gained broad experience in various aspects live entertainment business. You can also expect to apply your academic learning to real-world situations and cultivate your leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. This is a part-time position, up to 25 hours per week.
WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
• Support Touring and Talent team with impactful projects and analyses.
• Shadow and support our analysts with managing complex data models and ad-hoc requests.
• Participate in the development of reports and deliverables that are shared and used by other teams and executives to make strategic decisions
• Collaborate with other Analytics teams at Live Nation as well as the promoters and bookers putting our tours together
• Conduct project-based research (artists, venues, markets analysis, ticket sales)
• Gain hands-on exposure to the people and data behind Live Nation's tours and live events
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
• Gain a broad understanding of how Live Nation's strategy & analytics team provides the touring & talent team data and information to run the business.
• Develop an understanding of the booking and financial side of the live music industry
• Learn how to efficiently work in a high paced environment in the music industry
• Understand how to communicate across multiple departments in an organization regarding shows.
• Create a database of artist research metrics to understand our artists and their music better.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Currently enrolled in an accredited College or University; Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Statistics, Economics, Data modeling, Engineering, or related major required.
• Junior or Senior standing
• Must have a basic knowledge of MS Office (working knowledge of Excel is a plus)
• Deadline-driven, organized, and able to multi-task in fast-paced environments
• Must be comfortable working, collaborating, and communicating virtually/remotely
• Intellectual curiosity and a strong passion for data and music preferred
• Previous experience preferred (school, internship, or professional)
• Creative thinker and problem solver
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Acute sense of judgment, tact, and diplomacy
• A strong sense of teamwork and ability to collaborate with teammates
• Position can be remote but will need to be available to support operations between 9-6 PM PST.
This program is during Summer 2024.
