RESPONSIBILITIES
•To ascertain the creative direction and assist in the process of choosing and awarding the appropriate Director and production company as delegated by department Vice President
•Participate and organize video shoots
•Develop and oversee projects with the New Media department
•To generate and administer all necessary documentation and technical information relating to the project
•Ensure that the predetermined budget is adhered to and reflects the scope of production necessary to deliver the concept
•Seek out new directors, create a resource pool-of-up-and-coming talent in order to keep production costs down
•Meet with directors and production company reps
•Posses awareness of current music and style trends and current work of commercial, film and music video directors (Review reels and video shows)
•Attend Marketing and future artist meetings
•Work closely with marketing, video promotion and new media in order to develop new strategies for uses of video productions
•Assess all possibilities of developing costly music videos into income generating product
•Supervise live performance coverage of Capitol artists in Los Angeles and elsewhere
•Attend conferences/seminars/etc. on Digital Video/New Media/etc. to ensure that the department is up to date with emerging technologies and new standards
REQUIREMENTS
•Bachelors Degree with advanced knowledge in post production required
•Minimum of 3 years experience with video/film production with hands on shooting and editing required
•Experience with music marketing, artist development, maintaining in house editing and technical understanding of camera equipment required
•Advanced skills in accounting and project management required
•Excellent analytical acumen, highly organized and detail oriented
•Demonstrated ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment, responding to issues promptly with a strong orientation toward customer service
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•Must be able to interact and work with personnel from all areas and levels of the company as well as third parties
•Must be comfortable with 10-15% travel
