Lionsgate has an opening for a Director, Corporate Communications, in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment with excellent growth opportunities.
The position reports to the Senior Vice President, Executive Communications & Investor Relations, and the successful candidate will work closely with the entire Lionsgate senior management team.
Candidates should have at least 5 to 8 years experience in a corporate environment with a strong track record in media relations, executive speechwriting and preparation of press releases and other written materials. They should be well organized, results-oriented, innovative, able to think strategically and meet strict deadlines. Superior writing and communications skills are a must. Entertainment industry background strongly preferred. Some financial knowledge is a definite plus.
Responsibilities include:
• Serving as a corporate spokesperson with business, financial and entertainment media
• Writing executive speeches, preparing talking points for interviews, drafting press releases and other corporate materials
• Arranging and managing executive interviews with the media
• Helping to prepare senior management for investor conferences and meetings
• Assisting in the development of media relations strategies and coordinating key messages across Lionsgates film, television, home entertainment and digital content businesses worldwide
• Handling M&A and crisis communications as needed
• Compiling press and analyst kits, corporate fact sheets and other corporate materials as well as updating investor presentations and helping to maintain the corporate Website.
The successful candidate will have 5-8 years of related experience, be a highly motivated self-starter with exceptional computer and interpersonal skills, and appreciate the confidential nature of the department. Must have a high level of comfort interacting with senior executives, Candidates should be extremely detail-oriented, with the ability to multi-task have the ability to meet tight deadlines, and work well under pressure. A college degree, preferably an English or Journalism major, is required.
