This is a Part Time Unpaid Internship

Top Cow Productions, Inc. one of the leading independent comic book entertainment publishing companies is seeking highly motivated interns in the Los Angeles area for early 2010. This is an excellent opportunity to receive on-the-job experience in a fast paced entertainment publishing company while expanding a network of important contacts in the comic book industry.

The internship lasts for a duration of three months following a preliminary two week probationary period. Interns must be able to commit a minimum of 16 hours per week to be considered for the position.

Interns are expected to have good communication skills, be hard working and well organized. This internship is ideal for individuals or students who want to learn the day-to-day publishing operations of a comic book company. This is an unpaid internship.

Responsibilities include:

-Filing and maintaining of in-office inventory
-Proof reading for comic book scripts
-Writing copy for publication materials
-Monitoring and updating Top Cow social networks (Facebook, MySpace, etc.)
-Conducting thorough online research
-Running out-of-office errands
-Shipping and receiving
-Reading Top Cow comic books to familiarize yourself with our brand
-Attending comic book and entertainment social functions in the Los Angeles area

Interns must meet the following requirements:

-Incredibly detail-oriented
-Self-motivator, responsible and able to follow directions
-Possess a great personality over the phone and in person
-Energetic, enthusiastic and eager
-Excellent writing and communication skills
-Creative, out-of-the-box thinker
-Basic computer skills; Graphic Design background a plus but not necessary
-Able to competently conduct research on the Internet
-Familiar with multiple social networking sites
-Can work a minimum of 16 hours per week
-Can reliably commute to Century City
-And, of course, a love of comic books!
