Salary Information:

Workplace Location Requirements:
• Location: Uptown Theater, Minneapolis.
• Work Environment: Part-time with physical demands including lifting up to 75lbs and working in environments with moderate to loud noise and intense lighting.
Experience and Education Requirements:
• Years of Experience: Minimum 3 years in tour or stage production.
• Education: High School Diploma required; College Degree preferred.
Skills Required:
• Hard Skills:
- Proficiency with stage lighting, pro audio systems, and basic video systems.
- Experience with spotlight operations, lighting control boards operation and programming.
• Soft Skills:
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Superior interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
Job Summary and Responsibilities:
• Position: Lighting Engineer at Uptown Theater.
• Role Overview: Responsible for ensuring the success of show and event productions by handling the technical aspects related to the show(s) production, including load-in operations, setup, and operation of lighting and AV equipment.
• Key Responsibilities:
- Perform load-in of band equipment and rental equipment.
- Set up and breakdown of band and event equipment.
- Operate and maintain lighting equipment, making adjustments according to artist or event specifications.
- Assist with production throughout the venue as needed.
- Accommodate artist/event AV requirements and ensure safe operation of lighting.
• Objective: To ensure the technical quality and success of event productions through skilled management of lighting and AV setups, contributing to an outstanding audience experience.
Work Schedule:
• Hours: Vary based on project and event requirements. Monday through Sunday as needed per event schedule. Minimum four-hour commitment for all events.
