Variety is seeking an Account Manager, West Coast Consumer in Los Angeles, CA to support pre-sales media strategy including media plan development and gathering audience insights, as well as owning the post sales process including gathering client assets, setting up digital programs, optimizing delivery, as well as analyzing performance to tell a story with end of campaign metrics. This position also requires a passion for entertainment, sales and consumer brand strategy, and a strong willingness to learn and be motivated by the opportunity to help shape and contribute to the success of the Sales team.
Responsibilities:
• Deliver superior client service to cultivate partner relationships and drive renewal of business.
• Drive interdepartmental communications between Sales, AdOps, Marketing Execution Strategy teams and Branded Content to ensure seamless post account management responsibilities.
• Following up with clients and internal teams to ensure deliverables are collected and set up on time in order to launch campaigns correctly and on time
• Contributing information to sales strategies by assessing the current product results, monitoring competitive products and keeping a pulse on newsworthy updates with clients and the marketplace.
Requirements:
• Pre-sale planning and strategy in conjunction with salesperson of record
• Creation of media plans, investment & audience slides for pitch decks and reporting documents for West Coast Consumer programs
• RFP strategy and execution of agency templates, audience pulls
• Media plan entry into agency systems/forms or utilizing our in-house forms to communicate assets and deadlines to the clients.
• Crafting client facing communications such as deliverables schedules, meeting agendas action items.
• Order entry in Salesforce and Placements.IO
• Digital asset collection (Variety.com, newsletters, podcasts, branded/sponsored edit, social)
• Communication of demo links to the client and gathering their changes and approvals and communicating those back to AdOps
• Collection of screenshots and delivery to the client
• Delivery tracking and campaign optimization to ensure campaign delivers in full
• Post campaign data reporting and analysis
• Digital, sponsored edit and branded content recap decks
