California - Los Angeles Office
Dick Clark Productions (dcp), the world's largest producer and proprietor of televised live event entertainment programming, is seeking a Manager of Live Events to bring dcp content to life by producing world-class industry and consumer-facing events. In this role, you will support the VP, Events in executing dcp's vision and strategies, participating in every aspect of event production from ideation through post-event wrap. A deep knowledge and passion for media, music, and entertainment, as well as the technology and marketing tools to deliver successful events and content, are essential.
You will support the new dcp Live Events team, driving the creation and sale of bespoke experiential opportunities surrounding dcp’s iconic tentpoles like the American Music Awards, the Billboard Music Awards, the ACM Awards, New Year’s Rockin’ Eve, and the Golden Globes.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
• Produce projects or events from start to finish, from ideation to execution, managing multiple events simultaneously
• Develop and manage detailed event proposals, including timelines, venues, suppliers, and budgets
• Communicate and present effectively to all organizational levels
• Manage, track, and reconcile project budgets up to $350,000 with oversight from the VP, Events
• Create RFPs, manage vendor negotiations, and contracts
• Analyze post-event data to measure ROI and success
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to align collateral with strategic goals
Required Skills:
• 3-5 years of directly related event planning experience in the media industry
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Strong negotiation and event management skills
• Creative with an eye for design
• Extremely organized, detail-oriented, and professional
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Keynote
Salary Range:
$80k - $95k.
