• • Fuse Media is seeking a dynamic and experienced head of ad sales to lead the sales team in driving revenue growth and cultivating strategic partnerships within the entertainment and digital media industry. This executive will be responsible for the direction and achievement of ad revenue targets for television and streaming services, making regular input into the formulation of strategies for the ad sales function. The ideal candidate will have over 15 years of proven success in media ad sales with a robust network of industry clients and prospects, and a strong track record of leadership and innovation. This person will interact with top management to adjust advertising sales plans and strategies, plus will pursue, negotiate and close difficult and strategic sales. This position reports to the CEO and is based in New York, NY. We practice a hybrid work model, currently in-office twice a week or as required.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
• Lead and oversee all aspects of the ad sales function, including strategy development, revenue forecasting, and client relationship management.
• Develop and execute comprehensive sales plans to achieve revenue targets and maximize profitability across multiple platforms and channels.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with advertising agencies, brands, and key stakeholders, serving as the primary point of contact for all ad sales initiatives.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including brand solutions, marketing, content development and finance to align ad sales strategies with overall business objectives and priorities.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape to identify new opportunities and drive innovation in ad sales tactics and solutions.
• Develop and implement performance metrics and KPIs to evaluate the effectiveness of ad sales efforts and optimize resource allocation accordingly.
• Manage sales executives accountable for achieving significant sales goals across regions; ensure that direct reports have appropriate resources to achieve defined objectives.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the entire ad sales team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous learning.
• Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings, demonstrating thought leadership and promoting our brands and offerings.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum 15 years of experience in advertising sales, with a proven track record of selling video across digital, linear and non-linear platforms, as well as branded entertainment and non-traditional media; minimum 5 years of experience at the executive level (VP )
• Bachelor’s degree in related field or an equivalent combination of skills, training and hands-on experience; MBA preferred.
• Proven track record of exceeding revenue targets and driving sales growth in a competitive market environment.
• Must understand the TV/Streaming industry and competitive environment including knowledge of competitive product offerings.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence key stakeholders at all levels.
• Strategic thinker with a creative mindset and a passion for innovation and problem-solving.
• Strong leader in setting directions for the team and achieving large sales goals; ability to inspire and motivate team members to achieve their full potential.
• Proficiency in CRM systems, sales analytics tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• OTT/CTV experience a major plus.
SALARY RANGE
• $250,000 - $350,000 annually (DOE) Commission
