Motion Picture Industry Pension & Health Plans (MPI) is seeking a Contribution Processing Associate to join our Contributions Processing team. This position will be responsible for editing hours reported on company systems by checking all edit/error codes and verifying data entry to ensure participants are credited with the correct hours worked.
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years contribution processing experience or comparable work experience desired
Minimum high school diploma or GED is required
Basic accounting skills desired
Data processing and/or accounting experience highly desirable
Accurate typing skills of 45 wpm; 10-key by touch
Computer savvy and proficient in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
Able to handle fast-paced work, follow through to completion of tasks and meet deadlines.
Able to learn quickly and follow directions precisely.
Excellent analytical skills
Strong written communication skills, excellent spelling and grammar skills required
Self-starter, well organized with strict attention to detail, high level of accuracy, and effective time management skills.
A flexible team player with a positive, cooperative, and helpful attitude with a willingness to assume additional duties as needed.
Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills; must have the ability to work with individuals at all levels of the organization
Excellent attendance and reliability, with the ability to work overtime/extended hours as required.
Ability to accept direction and developmental guidance from supervisor
Responsibilities:
Edit reported hours, including checking all edit/error codes and verifying data entry
Contact employers and payroll companies regarding reported data or reports that were submitted incorrectly, and do all necessary follow ups to resolve issues
Prepare Employer Contribution Reports for processing;
Verifying on-line deposit information.
Contacting employers on unclear data and questionable hours and doing all necessary follow up.
Calculating and balancing report totals
Apply payments and credits to designated work reports
Adjusting contribution reports as needed
Data Entry of Employer Contribution Reports
Navigate and perform tasks across multiple applications and data systems
Prepare billing and/or credit requests as needed
Assist in handling Billing/Credit Advice notices
Prepare electronically submitted tapes for editing (all types)
Handle special projects and perform other duties as assigned
Please note, this is an onsite position at our offices in Studio City, CA. MPI requires employees to be vaccinated with exceptions as required by law.
This is a Class 4 Union-affiliated position.
