A little bit about our team:
Atlantic Records has always been and continues to be an A&R driven record label. The A&R Department operates as the primary source of talent scouting and record making within Atlantic Records. It is A&R that allows us to identify and sign new talent and continue making records for currently signed artists on the roster.
Your role:
The Assistant position is an exciting role for someone eager to break into the music industry. This position offers hands-on experience at the highest levels of the business, focusing on providing essential support.

Here you'll get to:
• Manage and optimize the calendar of the A&R Executive, prioritizing key meetings and events.
• Anticipate conflicts, coordinate last-minute changes, and prepare executive for upcoming meetings.
• Assist with planning creative sessions, showcases, and meetings with artists and industry professionals.
• Serve as a primary point of contact between executive and internal/external partners, including artists, managers, and industry stakeholders.
• Draft meeting agendas and assist with follow-ups.
• Stay plugged into cultural trends and keep executives informed on emerging music scenes, cultural moments, and relevant events.
• Assist with travel arrangements (flights, hotels, transportation) and create thorough itineraries for domestic and international trips.
• Help coordinate in-person and virtual events, from listening sessions to industry gatherings.
• Attend relevant events, showcases, and cultural gatherings to maintain a pulse on music and youth culture.
• Help track progress on artist projects and coordinate between departments to ensure deadlines are met.
• Assist with organizing A&R sessions
• Contribute ideas informed by what's trending in the culture and online communities.
• Manage internal dashboards to track key initiatives across marketing, A&R, and operations.
• Use digital tools (Slack, Airtable, Asana, Google) to manage tasks, track projects, and communicate with the team.
• Submit expenses and handle invoice processing as needed.
• Build meaningful relationships with artists, managers, and industry professionals by engaging with the creative community.
• Attend shows, networking events, and industry panels to expand your knowledge of the music ecosystem.
• Be a cultural liaison, bringing fresh insights and ideas that resonate with Gen Z and Gen Alpha audiences.
About you:
• You have prior experience assisting an executive or creative talent.
• You are interested in attending evening events, shows, and industry showcases.
• You are available to work in-office with flexibility to adapt to changing schedules.
• You are passionate about music and culture and have a finger on the pulse of new music trends and emerging subcultures.
• You are familiar with Gen Z and Gen Alpha interests, behaviors, and platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and Spotify.
• You are highly organized and able to juggle multiple priorities and stay on top of deadlines.
• You have strong communication skills and are comfortable interacting with artists, executives, and partners across the industry.
• You are tech-savvy and have experience using collaboration tools (Google Workspace, Slack, Microsoft) and are eager to adopt new apps.
• You are adaptable and resilient with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
• You are proactive, solutions-oriented, and a natural problem solver.
We'd love it if you also had:
• Previous experience in the music, entertainment, or creative industries.
• An interest in A&R, artist development, or marketing.
• Demonstrated involvement in online communities or cultural movements.
• Relevant courses or certifications in project management, music, or digital media.
• Passion projects or side hustles that showcase your initiative and creativity.
