DP / Director, Editor + Sound Aug 3-4! IMDB Cred!
48 HOUR FILM FESTIVAL LOS ANGELES! We are in need of a few team members for a really fun team that is participating in the 48hfp here in LA THIS WEEKEND! IMDb credit plus invitation to the Red Carpet Premiere Screenings, as well as opportunity for the team to win awards! This is fully voluntary for all participants, meaning no on can get paid for their participation.
August 2nd-4th
DP/DIR and Sound needed on Saturday only and Editor needed Saturday and Sunday.
ALL must have their own equipment or access to equipment.
1) Cinematographer/DP must be experienced and skilled in a variety of genres as you do not find out what you will be filming until Friday night!
2) Editor MUST be skilled and experienced as they only have less than 24 hours to fully edit and submit this project under the deadline or the team is disqualified.
3) Sound team - boom operator/sound engineer and at least 1 other person to assist and help with mics, quality etc
The team already consists of 3 very experienced, credited and professional teen actors so you must love working kids! The script will be led by a Senior Producer/Screenwriter who has over 15 years of set and industry experience. The teen actors also all write, sing and dance, so there is a lot of talent and experience to work with! The parents of the kids are all on set and act as extra hands, Krafty, PAs, location managers, set decorating, props, wardrobe, etc. This is the second year our team has participated in this festival.
How it works; Friday night is the kick off event in Hollywood where the team reps go and team by team they pick their genre out of a hat (can be almost anything) and then at the very end you are given a name of a character, a prop and a line that all teams MUST incorporate into the film. Immediately following that announcement, the teams will write the script. First thing Saturday morning the teams start filming and usually the editor will be on set starting to edit as well if possible. Sunday is editing, adding music, credits and a mandatory intro screen and submission before the 7pm deadline. Its a hustle but a lot of fun in the process. The film will be on the big screen at a red carpet event screening all the submissions. It is a great way to network, meet new people and collab with some very talented cast and crew!
