Freelance Studio Teleprompter Operator (Fox Networks - Los Angeles, CA 90064)
Fox Networks, Engineering & Operations is looking for a studio teleprompter for shows produced at the Fox Studios in Los Angeles, CA. Qualified candidates will have experience using the Winplus and BDL/Autoscript program.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for scrolling through scripted material for the studio talent to read for live or non-live productions.
• Follow the speed of the studio talent reading the script and move quickly through the script should the talent begin to ad-lib.
• Work with studio talent and/or producers for potential edits to an existing script in the system.
• Input, edit and format new scripts when provided by production.
• Report technical issues to the Engineering, Operations and IT groups.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Minimum 1yr experience working in a studio environment; live & non-live productions.
• Have working knowledge of computers, keyboards and word processing software including the BDL/Autoscript program.
• Knowledge of INews is a plus.
• Ability to read and write English fluently and have manual dexterity for hand controls.
• Ability to sit, read and pay attention to the prompting screen for extended periods of time.
• Be available for weekdays, weekends, holidays and work flexible hours with reliable attendance.
• Must be a team player, work well with others and excel under pressure.
• This is a NABET daily hire position and requires membership in the Union.
