Accounting Clerk

Supervisor: Staff Accountant – or other position defined
Location: Port St. Lucie, FL

Job Responsibilities:
• Assist the Staff Accountant by performing various accounting / bookkeeping / clerical duties with the following activities:
• Payables
• Record vendor invoices in accounting software for payment
• Prepare report of payments due for approval
• Maintain Vendor files, including W-9 forms
• Receivables
• Create customer invoices and sales receipts per Catering reports
• Record payments received
• Prepare report for outstanding invoices due
• General Ledger
• Enter Journal Entries as defined by Staff Accountant
• Clerical
• Assist with the compilation of souvenir sales and food and beverage sales form POS reports into excel worksheets for data
• Payroll
• Maintain employee files, remaining in compliance with all state and federal requirements
• Make appropriate entries to general ledger to record summarized payroll
• Minor League Baseball / PDC Reporting
• Assist in the maintenance of PDC costs; Florida State League Dues, Appalachian League Dues and other expenses for St. Lucie Mets and Kingsport Mets
• Assist in the reconciliation of the Sodexo meal invoices
• Stadium Maintenance and Grounds
• Assist in the maintenance of records and accounting entries for grounds and maintenance costs as needed
• Spring Training Cash Room:
• Complete the activities of the cash room to include making banks, distributing banks and collecting, counting and reconciling cash deposits for various departments
• Assist by performing the following as directed or as needed:
• Order supplies for and maintain office equipment as directed
• Review and transmit accident reports for Liability and Workers Comp insurance
• Maintain and respond to Social Security, Workers Comp, and Unemployment requests
