THE DIVISON'S STORY If you watch our A E Networks brands, A&E, History and Lifetime among others, then you have seen the work of the Distribution team. Our networks would not air and be watched by millions of people without the expertise of the Distribution department. We are the team that negotiates and partners with Distributors to deliver our networks to their consumers and ultimately our viewers. We're also quick on our feet. As technology changes rapidly within the media landscape, impacting viewer behavior and traditional models, we pivot to deliver new solutions that extend our content, brand and reach through Video On Demand, TV Everywhere and mobile. While much of our work takes place behind the scenes, our results are out there for all to see. Director, Subscription Management for Direct-to-Consumer SVOD THE ROLE: Director, Subscription Management for Direct-to-Consumer The Director, Subscription Management for Direct-to-Consumer is a creative, collaborative thinker who is passionate about and has experience running a subscription business. They will craft data-driven programs that increase subscriber growth and revenue and optimize lifetime value (LTV). They will work closely with Product, Research and Analytics to understand subscriber behavior, identify business opportunities and oversee execution of such programs. S/he will work across A&E's direct-to-consumer products -- A&E Crime Central, HISTORY Vault and Lifetime Movie Club -- and both owned and third-party platforms. S/he will have proven experience developing programs throughout the customer journey to extend the customer's lifecycle and drive incremental value back to the organization. This person is data driven and uses analytics and data intelligence to develop business strategies. MORE ABOUT WHAT YOU'LL DO: Develop and execute subscription strategies throughout the customer lifecycle aimed at improving key KPIs including subscriber retention, lifetime value (LTV) and average revenue per user (ARPU) Partner with Analytics team to develop reports and dashboards that facilitate data-driven subscription management strategies, serve as primary consumer of this data Manage subscriber surveys and research with the Research team to drive a better understanding of our customer and implement programs to meet their needs • Identify and evaluate promotional opportunities and pricing strategies across platforms Work hand-in-hand with content, product and marketing counterparts to drive holistic business strategy Manage billing process and communications aimed at reducing involuntary churn Keep a pulse on the competitive landscape and update internal stakeholders on changes in the marketplace Become well-versed in our partnership agreements to ensure compliance as new programs and partnerships are developed Contribute to revenue forecasting and P&L YOUR STORY: BA/BS Degree. 10 years of experience managing a subscription business, ideally a digital product Experience in OTT, SVOD or other digital media channels preferred Understanding of the key metrics used to measure health of subscription business and proven experience developing programs to drive KPI improvements Strong communication and organizational skills are essential. Candidate must have the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines. Must be able to work well in a team environment and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners and suppliers.
