Job Title: General Manager, Digital Platforms
Location: New York, NY
Position Overview:
The General Manager of Digital Platforms is responsible for setting and leading A+E Networks’ digital monetization strategy across web, social, and YouTube platforms. This role oversees daily and long-term operational goals, manages a large team, and ensures alignment with company objectives. The GM will drive business growth, manage budgets, and develop strategies for audience acquisition and retention. Reporting to a member of the Executive Team, the GM's primary responsibility is to build and grow the digital business to contribute significantly to company EBIT over the next three years.
Core Responsibilities:
• Create and implement strategies for business growth across digital platforms
• Manage the budget and monitor the financial health of the digital business
• Lead and develop a high-performing team, setting competencies for staff hiring and development
• Optimize internal processes for productivity across web, social, and YouTube platforms
• Work with internal stakeholders (Ad Sales, IT, Product, Marketing, etc.) to ensure digital product excellence
• Analyze performance and financial reports, making data-driven decisions
• Represent the company in meetings with clients, partners, and agencies
Ideal Candidate Requirements:
• At least 5 years of experience managing P&L
• 10+ years of digital/technology product management and team leadership experience
• Proven track record in product strategy and roadmap execution in consumer marketplaces
• Strong financial monitoring, planning, and reporting experience
• Hands-on experience with reporting tools such as Google Analytics and Adobe
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Compensation:
• Annual Pay Range: $403,779 - $484,535
• Annual Incentive Target: 40%
