Junior PrEditor (Temporary) Project Based

Job Description
THE ROLE: Junior PrEditor, Formatting (Temporary) Project Based
Junior PrEditor 3PPW-Projected based 1000-hour freelance, per year. non-exempt, remote - hybrid . Based on 35 hours a week.
Flexible Schedule: Depending on business needs, you may be tasked to work off schedule including nights or weekends
Please note project assignment associates are engaged to provide service to A+E Networks on a temporary basis in connection with a specific project. Project assignment associates are hired and employed through a third party vendor.
MORE ABOUT WHAT YOU'LL DO:
The Junior PrEditor provides operational support for our formatting and asset creation workflows for broadcast and distribution. This role is responsible for coordinating media movement, and executing basic formatting and edit tasks using Adobe Premiere Pro. Will report to Supervising Producer.
• Organize and execute basic editing tasks in Adobe Premiere Pro; including inserting patches, disclaimer and fact card updates; rebranding/replacing graphics; and simple music track swaps.
• Perform edits following supplied cut notes and instructions for assignments in Adobe Premiere Pro.
• May also be called upon to synch, stitch and/or correct closed captions, and insert audio tracks when applicable to assigned work.
• Maintain detailed metadata and asset records within our production tracking systems.
• When required, coordinate the creation and/or movement of video and audio files, graphics, credits, closed captions and any other needed materials, making sure that they are ready by required edit deadlines.

• You are curious about and invigorated by the process of getting content prepared for our global broadcast and distribution platforms.
• You understand post production processes and can engage effectively with our Post Production Supervisor, producers and PrEditors when needed to solve problems and keep deadlines on track.
• You are able to complete projects as expected and on time, hold yourself accountable for success, and can prioritize and manage your time effectively.
• You communicate professionally, and are able to raise up problems and concerns in concise, actionable terms.
MORE ABOUT YOU:
• 2+ years experience as Associate Producer, Assistant Editor or similar for factual and reality content.
• Bachelor's degree in Television Production/Communication or industry equivalent preferred.
• Proficiency with Adobe Premiere and After Effects; experience with Adobe Audition and/or Avid Media Composer is a plus but not required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Prior experience with Airtable a plus.
• Bi-lingual, fluent in written and spoken Spanish and English a plus but not required.
• Depending on business needs, you may be tasked to work off schedule including nights or weekends.

CompensationContract Hourly Pay Rate: $52.00
The pay rate displayed serves as a good faith estimate for this role.
