This is where we produce, transform, broadcast and distribute content as well as run the tech infrastructure for the Media Supply chain. Job Description
THE ROLE: Live Editor (Temporary) Project Based
3PPW-Projected based 1000-hour freelance, per year. non-exempt
A&E Television Networks is seeking a skilled and adaptable Live Video Editor. This role is based in Stamford, CT, at our post-production facility.
The ideal candidate will be collaborative, meticulous , and adaptable to the challenges of live broadcasting and post-production.

Key Responsibilities:
• Exhibits advanced skill to assemble and create content using non-linear editing software in a fast-paced L ive TV environment.
• S trong editing skills, effective communication, and ability to perform well under pressure, high demand, strict timelines, and/or live conditions with little supervision.
• T ake in Live Feed , format conten t , segment adjust , make fixes as needed and export .
• Ability to identify and quickly escalate issues. Sync supplemental audio tracks and captions when automation is unavailable.
• Expert in transfer protocols and troubleshooting.
• Maintain consistent project formats and make sure to e dit timeline layouts and transfer to the ingest server .
• Collaborate with tech ops, Broadcast, and third-party vendors to ensure live show and subsequent re-airs are successful .
• Troubleshoot technical difficulties with engineering, broadcast operations and client.
• Provide a detailed end of night report of how the show went, highlighting gaps or issues that should be resolved before the next show.
YOUR STORY:
Qualifications:
• A minimum of 5 + years as Lead editor with Live TV experience .
• Experience with Live event workflows in a fast-paced Live TV environment .
• Advanced understanding of non-linear editing software ( Avid, Adobe Premiere ) .
• Expert knowledge of all common frame rates (23.98, 29.97, 59.94 , etc. ), codecs ( H.264, D N x , ProRes , etc. ) , and file types.
• Experience with post-production tools such as Media Encoder, Telestream Vantage, Airtable , Premier Pro, Office 365, Google G-Suite, Frame.io, and similar platforms.
• Skilled in media transfer workflows (ingest/publish/export).
• Full understanding of audio and video broadcast standards and quality control (audio / video levels, video scopes, CALM Act compliance, etc.) .
• Ability to collaborate and work in a quick turn-around .
• Candidates must have a good computer background (Microsoft Office, etc.).
Skills & Knowledge:
• Demonstrates effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Flexibility to work to accommodate projects deadlines.
• Has in-depth background in non-linear editing in an area including Adobe (Premiere, AE, Audition, etc.)
• Strong understanding of linear, non-linear, social media production workflows.
• Knowledge of PC or Mac operating system.
• Preferred experience with long-form, reality content and broadcast television networks.
Please note project assignment associates are engaged to provide service to A+E Networks on a temporary basis in connection with a specific project. Project assignment associates are hired and employed through a third party vendor.
CompensationContract Hourly Pay Rate: $71.50
The pay rate displayed serves as a good faith estimate for this role.
Compensation for the role will be based on a number of different factors
such as a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, location, and
