VP, Historical Content and Corporate Social Responsibility, The History Channel
Work Locations: With the exception of some select roles that have in-office requirements, A+E Networks operates on a flexible model that allows for remote, hybrid or full time in office work (in certain locales).
Office locations include New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Stamford, CT.

Job Description
Role and Purpose: Vice President, Historical Content and Corporate Social Responsibility
The HISTORY Channel seeks a Vice President, Historical Content and Corporate Social Responsibility who will be responsible for implementing a wide range of historical projects including overseeing production of short videos and other multiplatform content, helping manage fact-checking functions to ensure accuracy, and facilitating educational partnerships. The ideal candidate possesses expertise in short-form video production, deep knowledge of history, a detail-oriented and impeccably organized approach to project management, and an ability to help implement outreach initiatives and content for a fast-paced, entertainment-driven television brand. This role includes outreach to historians and organizations with an emphasis on diversity.
Responsibilities:
Vice President, Historical Content and Corporate Social Responsibility
• Manage oversight of day-to-day fact-checking and accuracy checks for a wide-range of historical content
• Conceptualize and collaborate with marketing department to manage production of multiplatform content for corporate social responsibility initiatives
• Develop content for teachers and students and facilitate educational partnerships
• Identify and build relationships with historians and other content experts
• Oversee project management and facilitate partnerships for corporate social responsibility initiatives.
Qualifications/Requirements: Vice President, Historical Content and Corporate Social Responsibility
• Experience producing short form video and multiplatform content.
• Extensive production, fact-checking, research and writing skills
• Deep knowledge of history developed through hands-on project management and production experience
• Minimum 5-7+ years relevant work experience in media
• Knowledge of BIPOC history, communities and institutions required
Additional Qualifications:
• Ability to work independently with strong decision making and critical thinking skills.
• Ability and willingness to work on deadline and handle multiple tasks at once with a precise and detail-oriented approach with an impeccable attention to historical accuracy.
• Must love entertainment and television and understand the intricacies of creating content for consumer audiences
• Strong editorial discretion and great copywriting skills.
• Works well with teams. Excellent project and time management skills, you learn fast and can accommodate rapid change reacting quickly to new information.
CompensationAnnual Pay Range: $158,375 - $215,000Annual Incentive Target: 25.00%
The annual/hourly pay range displayed serves as a good faith estimate of the
minimum and maximum base pay range for this role. Compensation for the role will
be based on a number of different factors such as a candidate's qualifications, skills,
competencies, location, and experience. A+E offers a competitive total compensation
