Executive Assistant, Alt Series, Specials & Late Night (WDT)
Job Summary:
ABC Entertainment Group develops and produces compelling programming for broadcast on ABC in addition to other television and digital platforms. The group includes ABC Entertainment, which is responsible for all network primetime and late-night entertainment programming. ABC's viewing experience is enhanced through a variety of innovative and award-winning digital entertainment platforms, including a full-episode player on ABC.com and an iPad app, and extends to more than 1,000 platform partners worldwide via Disney Media Distribution.
Responsibilities:
• Supporting the SVP, Alternative Series, Specials & Late Night, the Executive Assistant will proactively manage and organize heavy calendar scheduling, multiple phone lines, keep detailed phone log and book travel arrangements
• Submit expense reports and purchasing requests for supplies
• Prepare general grids in Excel for reporting
• Organize contact lists of writers, producers, creative executives and any related correspondence as needed
• Compose correspondence as needed; write synopsis for weekly, widely-distributed report
• Read and watch material and provide feedback as necessary
• Provide additional support to other executives and department as needed
Basic Qualifications:
• A minimum of 2 years of previous administrative assistant experience in a high volume entertainment desk at a studio, network, production company or talent agency
• Must be passionate about a career in TV, specifically in Reality and Live Event programming
• Ability to successfully coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
• Manage smooth operations of the executive's calendar and office, being mindful of deadlines and priorities
• General understanding of the television development process and cycles
• Knowledge of agencies, networks and production companies
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision
• Willingness to work overtime with short notice
• Ability to work with confidential information
• Must work well under pressure
• Demonstrated organizational skills
• Superior attention to detail and excellent follow through
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proficient knowledge of Outlook, Word and Excel
Preferred Qualifications:
• SAP experience
• Outlook Experience
Required Education
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
