Producer/Editor (ABC News Live)

Job Summary:

ABC News Live is looking for a non-linear Producer/Editor. This person will craft video segments for distribution on the 24/7 ABC News Live streaming channel. The ideal candidate will have several years of experience editing video content and be an avid news consumer that will take an active role int he editorial process.

Responsibilities:

This position requires that the candidate has proven proficiency in News Broadcast editing, demonstrated writing skills, story structure and field acquisition experience.

Basic Qualifications:

• Minimum three years experience editing video content in a live 24/7 environment
• Minimum one year of experience working with Adobe Suite
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and with a team in writing scripts, gathering video and graphics elements
• Must be available to work flexible hours and weekends and perform duties under deadline.
• Strong organizational skills, able to meet deadlines, attention to detail, work well under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Three or more years of experience editing on AVID working with complicated sequences and effects

Required Education

BA or BA from a four year accredited college or university or equivalent experience
