Position Purpose
The Atlanta Dream is seeking an experienced business intelligence and digital strategy leader to establish and drive the strategic foundation for our insights engine. The Director of Business Intelligence & Digital Strategy will be pivotal in building and refining data infrastructure, conducting strategic analysis and extracting actionable insights to fuel audience growth, engagement, ticket sales, ecommerce and partnerships. This role will serve as the organization's central hub for data-driven business decision making, empowering marketing, ticketing, retail and partnerships teams with critical insights to move the business forward. This hire will report to the Vice President, Marketing & Insights and is highly curious and analytical, able to distill clarity from complexity, and has an entrepreneurial desire to innovate.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Develop and implement a comprehensive business intelligence and digital strategy that aligns with the Atlanta Dream's overall business objectives, building on the initial foundation that's been established.
• Design, build and maintain robust data pipelines and connectors, ensuring data accuracy and accessibility.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of data outputs, extracting actionable insights to inform strategic decisions across all departments.
• Own end to end reporting and analytics that visualizes data to meet the needs of both internal and external team members, including delivering regular reporting for leadership team and ownership.
• Establish a team vision and lead a small, but high-performing team of digital marketing strategists and analysts.
• Utilize data insights to identify audience trends, optimize marketing campaigns, drive content performance and enhance fan engagement.
• Provide data-driven insights to support partnership development, activation and performance measurement.
• Analyze ticket sales data to identify trends, optimize pricing strategies and drive revenue growth.
• Develop and execute a digital strategy that leverages insights to enhance the fan journey and drive business objectives.
• Serve as the central point of contact for all data-related requests and collaborate with marketing, ticketing, partnerships teams to effectively communicate and socialize actional results and findings in a simple and intuitive narrative format.
• Partner with the IT team to continually integrate new tools, methods and processes supporting analysis.
• Establish and enforce data governance policies and procedures to ensure data security and integrity.
Required Education
, Experience, Traits and Skills
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics, Computer Science, Math, Marketing or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• 7 years experience in business intelligence, data analytics, and/or digital strategy, preferably in a quantitative analysis role or strategic consulting role in analytics teams or management consulting firms.
• 4 years of leadership experience mentoring and growing a team of analysts and/or marketing strategists.
• Experience with enterprise level reporting and ad hoc analysis to drive large, complex, cross-functional reporting that aligns to business strategy.
• Providen experience building and managing data infrastructure.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to extract actionable insights from complex data sets.
• Adept technical and functional experience in Excel, BI Tools, data visualization tools and database management systems (ie: SQL).
• Experience with CRM platforms and digital marketing analytics tools.
• High-degree of expertise with martech solutions.
• Experience with statistical data analysis.
• Strong understanding of digital marketing strategy, best practices, and optimization methods.
• Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, team environment.
• Able and willing to travel to Atlanta Dream away games when needed, in addition to working non-traditional hours including evenings and weekends as needed.
Work Schedule: Normal office hours; plus all Atlanta Dream games; nights/weekends when applicable
