Position Purpose
The Fan Experiences & Engagement Coordinator will play an integral role in driving fan growth and deepening loyalty and engagement by creating memorable experiences for our fans, on Atlanta Dream game days and beyond.
The ideal candidate will display a passion for sports marketing, fan insights and cultural trends, working with the Director of Marketing and Fan Experience to execute an engaging fan experience plan that blends all three to create the best experiences possible for our fans. This role will also contribute to elevating our partners and driving incremental ticket, merchandise and associated revenue in the short and long-term.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Research and recommend contests and in-game activation ideas that will enhance the gameday experience.
• Identify opportunities like pre/post-game traditions that will drive game attendance, enhance the in-arena and broadcast atmosphere, and develop the fan culture in Atlanta.
• Amplify the fan voice in all meetings and planning across departments ensuring all of our programming keeps the fan's perspective front and center.
• Partner with our Insights team to regularly conduct surveys to understand fan feedback on various experiences.
• Review and recommend fan giveaways and talent for Anthems, Halftimes and other performances
• Maintain FanX calendar of key dates, prop inventory, game day planning and scripting.
• Partner with Game Operations staff on all operations and logistics related to fan experience.
• Serve as gameday POC for Anthem and Halftime talent, assisting with parking, credentials, early access requests and other gameday needs.
• Manage court rehearsals with hosts and/or talent in association with 3PT and Arena staff.
• Create recaps for gameday and special event activations.
• Work with the Content team to integrate compelling social/digital content in-arena and to showcase the fan experience on social and other external platforms.
• Work with the Ticket department to ensure we're delivering our brand promise to fans in-arena.
• Assist the Retail team with gameday setup and fan engagement activations.
• Help lead the execution for all Theme Game experiences in the arena.
• Lead ideation and support other fan events outside of gamedays when applicable.
Required Education
, Experience, Traits and Skills
• Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Sports Management, Marketing, or a related field
• Internship and/or entry-level experience working in sports, events, and/or more
• Leadership experience in work, education, extracurriculars, etc
• Community service experience in work, educational, and/or personal life
• Highly motivated and proactive self-starter who works well as both team member and individual contributor
• Outstanding organizational and communication skills with the ability to follow through and meet deadlines while balancing multiple projects and priorities
Work Schedule: Normal office hours; plus all Atlanta Dream home games and other events; nights/weekends when applicable. This is a full-time exempt position.
