Department Coordinator, Arena Programming
Location: State Farm Arena, Atlanta, GA
Position Summary:
The Atlanta Hawks are looking for a proactive Department Coordinator for Arena Programming to support all areas of programming and event management. This role will serve as a primary contact for new business inquiries and provide essential administrative and financial assistance to ensure smooth department operations.
Responsibilities:
• Administrative (20%): Support the programming team with administrative tasks, research, and presentations; manage online event files; act as the first contact for new business inquiries (e.g., filming, concerts, events); collect and verify event insurance
• Calendar & Booking Management (40%): Create and distribute internal and external calendars, including Avail, Monthly, and NBA schedules; manage arena booking system, update event details, and coordinate with promoters
• Finance & Reporting (30%): Process payment coding forms, assist in gathering preliminary event settlement information, input data in the Arena P&L sheet, and maintain event statistics spreadsheets
• Other Duties (10%): Compile and organize data from arena surveys, track events at other local venues, assist with promoter/artist gift ideas, and prepare expense reports for departmental purchases
Requirements:
• Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
• Experience with spreadsheets and data analysis
