This is a Freelance Job
The Audio Content Production Coordinator (ACPC) splits duties between audio production (editing/mastering) and project management. The bigger of the two hats is for the editing and mastering of spoken word audio content, long-form and short-form, with occasional sound design and music mixing. Audio education and experience are a must, preferably with spoken word but music is certainly acceptable. The ACPC must have a solid background in the technical aspects of manipulating digital audio as well as a complete understanding of hard disk recording and non-linear editing. It is also imperative that the ACPC has a strong command of the English language and its grammatical construct beyond that of common usage. This combination of skills is most often found in those who have had experience in communications, have a theater background, studied literature or read it often.
On the project management side of things, the ACPC will own the pre-production, production, and post-production stages of a subset of Audible audio productions. They will work closely with and communicate regularly with the in-house content curation teams, and be in regular contact with our out-of-house studio partners as they submit auditions and produce our content. They'll provide feedback and guidance proactively and as needed.

· Be constantly aware of the status and quality of all publications currently in production.
· Assist with post-production of Audible Studios audiobooks and other productions as needed.

Additional Comments: Experience with spoken word audio is a huge plus and should be highlighted in your application's cover letter. The letter is where you will stand out, don't bother submitting only a resume. Someone with a strong audio editing/mastering background will get to do higher level work with audio, but the gig also involves a good amount of project management. Listening and communication (mostly email) skills are equally important.
