Job Title: Executive Director, Baltimore Orioles Foundation
Reports To: EVP, Public Affairs
FLSA: Salaried-Exempt
Job Summary: The Executive Director, Baltimore Orioles Foundation provides leadership, direction and support for the Community Development department and oversees all operations for the Orioles Foundation. This role reports to the Executive Vice President, Public Affairs and is responsible for implementing the vision, mission, and strategy of the Orioles Foundation - achieving measurable impact for the community and the club. This individual will manage the P&L of the Orioles Foundation including revenue generation and expense management.
Position Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
• Orioles Foundation Donation and Grants Oversight
• Manages the Orioles Foundation in its conversion from private to public, and executes strategic plans to enhance the foundation's public presence
• Crafts the overall grantee portfolio for the Foundation and ultimately prepares and approves the slate of grants that is presented at Board meetings
• Leads team to monitor and evaluates grantees to ensure they are meeting programmatic milestones; and conducting site visits & providing technical assistance/guidance to grantees
• Resolves challenges or issues that arise with any potential or current grantees and responds to grant inquiries
• Fundraising
• Works with EVP, Public Affairs to develop a fundraising strategy for the Orioles Foundation that deepens connections with current fans and resonates with new segments
• Accountable for setting and achieving the Foundation's financial goals through innovative fundraising activities and increased community awareness
• Leads overall fundraising portfolio including strategic direction, execution and administration
• Financial Compliance
• Manages the P&L of the Orioles Foundation including revenue generation and expense management
• Monitors and approves weekly, monthly and yearly spending; and oversees reconciliation of bank statements and works with team, finance and vendors/partners to resolve any discrepancies/issues
• Works with Finance to track and arrange payments for grantees, partners, and vendors – ensuring timely payments to vendors
• Works with Finance to develop and review mandatory financial reports and statements
• Partnerships
• Maintains strong relationships with current community partners and develops new partnerships that drive impact for the community and the club
• Partners closely with internal partners from business and baseball operations to facilitate the participation of employees, players and alumni in outreach efforts and events
• Collaborates with the Corporate Partnership team to optimize relationships and generate activation/funding opportunities with team partners
• Staff Oversight
• Responsible for managing/supervising staff and ongoing performance evaluation
• Provides training and mentoring of staff
• Comms & PR
• Represents the Orioles and Orioles Foundation at public and private events and with donors, media, fans and other community stakeholders
• Develops written communications for internal and external audiences that articulate the Orioles Foundation impact
• Together with the board, drives the overall direction of the Foundation to ensure oversight, strategic planning, decision-making and financial planning fall under governance guidelines
• Plans board meetings and prepares all necessary support materials; including recording and maintaining official records of minutes and governing documents
• Implements board feedback and assists the Board to maintain effective governance practices
Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities Required:
• College degree, plus 10-15 years working in non-profit, charitable capacities or similar field
• Experience developing and executing on a vision, mission and strategy of an organization with demonstrated impact for both the community and the organization
• Experience developing (and improving existing) charitable programs, donations/grants, and partnerships that amplify an organization's commitment to making a positive impact in the community
• Proven experience and results in fundraising strategy and execution
• Experience working with non-profit boards to develop and execute a vision for an organization, as well as ensuring good governance practices
• Experience building, developing and managing diverse teams and creating a positive and high-performing organizational culture
• Excellent financial acumen including significant experience with developing and managing budgets
• Experience representing an organization in the community including public speaking, giving interviews and coordinating efforts with high-profile individuals and projects
• World-class verbal and written communication skills
• Unquestionable judgement and exhibits the highest level of personal integrity and ethics
• Excellent organizational and time management skills as well as the ability to meet deadlines
• Knowledge of the game of baseball and business of professional sports preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings as needed

The anticipated salary for this role is $100,000-$110,000 annually depending on experience.
