This position reports directly to the President and operates in conjunction with the Business Development Specialist (Team based in North America). This role can be conducted remotely within Australia or from UNIFIED Music Group's workspace in Melbourne.
Bauer Entertainment Marketing is seeking a dynamic business development professional to support its sales initiatives in the music, sports, and entertainment industries. With a particular focus on the Asia-Pacific region, the Business Development Specialist (APAC)'s daily responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Crafting proposals and agreements using information obtained from client discovery meetings and RFPs
Organizing and maintaining proposal and agreement templates
Quickly responding to inbound leads, scheduling discovery meetings, and consistently following up
Researching potential new business opportunities and conducting email and phone outreach
Maintaining customer relationship management (CRM) and email list data. Producing reports upon request
Representing BEM at industry conferences throughout Asia-Pacific
Contributing to developing BEM's thought-leadership content
Providing oversight to ensure BEM's brand effectively resonates with Asia-Pacific culture
Qualifications:
Must have a bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Communication, or a related field
Business, sales, marketing, or psychology-focused degrees preferred
Strong interest in music, sports, entertainment, marketing, and technology industries
Experience in startups, entertainment, and the live-event industry is required
Must be able to travel, specifically to industry events
Hard Skills:
Expert-level written and oral communication skills
Experience with CRM systems
Able to analyze data, identify actionable takeaways, plus deliver clear and concise reports
Proficient in Google Products (e.g., Docs, Slides, Forms), Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel), and Mailchimp
Soft Skills:
Ability to work independently with minimal direction and supervision
Excellent people skills for collaborating with colleagues and clients, in-person and remotely
Highly organized, extremely detail-oriented, efficient, and productive while simultaneously managing multiple tasks
Needs to be instructed only once, but not afraid to ask for clarification
Capacity to get work done in a fast-paced environment with the ability to work flexible working hours to meet business needs
Confident, mature problem-solver, and adept at anticipating opportunities. Handles objections with ease
Seeks, welcomes, and uses constructive criticism to learn, improve, and grow
Adept at anticipating the needs of colleagues and prospective clients
