Internship Duration: One Semester/Term
Time/Days Required: 20 Hours Per Week, Flexible Schedule
Have a passion for music? Looking for hands-on experience working with artists, handling music distribution, marketing campaign execution, and project management? Are you hungry to learn and have a creative mind? Are you detail-oriented, motivated, and seeking experience in the music industry?
We are in search of applicants for the winter, and ideally beyond, with a passion for music who are interested in learning about the industry through daily hands-on tasks. Big Night Talent is a Boston-based company that works remotely. Applicants from any US-based location are welcome.
Our quickly expanding artist management division currently represents Deerock, ESCAP?PLAN, Embers, Jakeshoredrive, Kastra, Lodato, partywithray, Sam James, and syence. Artist management interns will be handling day-to-day operations including, but not limited to:
Working closely with artists to develop and execute their vision for digital marketing campaigns.
Brainstorming and developing new PR campaigns for artists' upcoming records.
Coordinating DJ Servicing, incoming and outgoing release support inquiries, and playlist curation.
Coordination and distribution of music to DSPs, labels, and sync agencies.
Develop and maintain relationships with key influencers in the digital space, while creating unique partnership campaigns to further expose our artists & music.
Ability to research and identify new trends on social platforms and within industries outside of music entertainment.
This is an unpaid internship for college credit
DESIRED SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS:
Enrolled in an accredited college or university.
Owns their own laptop.
In-depth knowledge of electronic dance music.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Able to attend remote meetings weekly.
An innate ability to work professionally and fluidly with a diverse team and clientele base, including creative executives.
Able to meet deadlines, work under pressure, and be independently proactive.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and exhibit critical thinking skills.
Understanding of all major social networks and how they function.
Hungry with a desire to learn and willingness to step outside your comfort zone.
A creative mind that's able to adapt to an ever-changing field.
Google Drive, Word/Docs, Excel/Sheets, and Powerpoint/Slides experience is required.
Adobe Photoshop and Premiere experience is a plus, but not required.

The Big Night Talent team is composed of individuals across the music industry, with previous experience in events management, concert promotion, A&R, marketing, and copywriting. We stress a sweat-equity approach to work - the more you are willing to put into your time with us, the more you will get out of it. The ideal candidate is personable and comfortable working as a core member of our tight-knit team on a daily basis. Creativity is a big part of our job, and no idea is a bad idea.
