Print Finishing Manager

BLT Communications is seeking an experienced Finishing Manager. The ideal candidate will have 10 years' experience as a hands-on Finishing Manager. You must be a self-starter, detail oriented with expert-level knowledge of the Adobe CC Suite.

The position is responsible for overseeing high res finished art for a variety of entertainment clients, managing internal assets, supervising a team of retouchers and working closely with the Production Manager, Creative Directors, Designers, and Account Managers.

Daily Responsibilities:
• Manage all facets of the finished art process from start to finish
• Schedule a team of 2-4 retouchers, including hiring freelance finishers
• Coordinate schedules with Account Managers
• Oversee the quality and timeliness of final files
• Collaborate with creatives, finishing, and account teams to ensure that all details meet the campaign style, guidelines, and deadlines
• Ensure technical and legal requirements are adhered to for each element

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in graphic related field or equivalent experience
• 10 years as a Finishing Manager or Senior Retoucher
• Expert-level, hands-on capabilities in Photoshop, including light retouching/file manipulation skills
• Ability to review and adjust high rez, finish files for delivery
• Attention to file organization, naming conventions, and client delivery requirements
• Understanding of client-specific finishing rules
• Understanding of RGB and CMYK colorspaces
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines
• Strong communication skills
• Must be a team player
• Savvy with type to manage fonts for finishing projects
• Knowledge of multiple print formats, medias and techniques
• Management of high-volume projects efficiently and on schedule
• Knowledge of entertainment awards work a plus
• Experience with Epson large format proofing
• Experience in newspaper color conversion

• Adobe CC (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
• Microsoft Office
• Job tracking systems (fundamental understanding)
