Print Production Manager

BLT Communications is seeking an experienced Print Production Manager. The ideal candidate will have 10 years' experience as a hands-on Print Production Manager. You must be a self-starter, detail oriented with expert-level knowledge of the Adobe CC Suite.

The position is responsible for overseeing all print and basic digital final file deliverables, managing internal assets, supervising a team of production artists and coordinating large-scale FYC campaigns. You will oversee a team of Production Artists and work directly with Creative Directors, Designers, Account Managers and Finishing Manager.

Daily Responsibilities:
• Manage all facets of the print production process from start to finish
• Schedule a team of 4-6 production artists
• Coordinate schedules with Account Managers
• Oversee the quality and timeliness of final files
• Collaborate with creatives, finishing, and account teams to ensure that all details meet the campaign style, guidelines, and deadlines
• Crosscheck and proofread all quotes and information provided by the client
• Read, transcribe, and organize media plans, and work with external media agencies
• Direct client contact
• Ensure technical and legal requirements are adhered to within final deliverables
• Deliver final files directly to printers and publications
• Oversee templates and assets as they are added and updated, keep the server organized and communicate any technical or template changes as they occur

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in graphic related field or equivalent experience
• 10 years as a Print Production Manager or Senior Production Artist
• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple deadlines, and high volume of deliverables
• Must be able to build final print-ready mechanicals
• Strong type, color and layout/design capabilities
• Light retouching skills (masking and/or minor file adjustments)
• Understanding of RGB and CMYK colorspaces
• Strong communication skills
• Excellent grammar, spelling and proofreading
• Must be a team player
• Knowledge of multiple print formats, medias and techniques
• Experience with Epson large format proofing
• Knowledge of entertainment awards work a plus
• Experience in newspaper color conversion

• Adobe CC (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
• Microsoft Office
• Job tracking systems (fundamental understanding)
