THE POSITION
Are you looking for an exciting internship experience? Our paid Internship Program provides real-world experience for students who are interested in the live entertainment industry. After finishing this program, you will have gained broad experience in various aspects live event business. You can also expect to apply your academic learning to real-world situations and cultivate your leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. This is a part-time position, working 15-20 hours per week. You must have availability to be in the office Tues-Thurs.
WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
• Participate in the planning and ideation of 508 member experiences.
• Maintain and update any staff training and venue documents and guidelines as required.
• Maintain a department-wide staff and vendor tracker.
• Maintain a department-wide concert and event calendar including a ticket purchase tracker.
• Assist with ordering of creative collateral and member gifts.
• Support the execution of all Austin based hospitality and pop-up experiences.
• Support any additional department-wide needs as required.
• Administrative duties as required.
• Assist with the planning and on-site execution of the 508 Member experience at Two Step Inn in Georgetown. The dates of the festival are, April 5th and 6th, 2025.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
• Gain real world experience within the live entertainment industry.
• Begin to build a network of working professionals within the Austin market.
• Interdepartmental communications and processes.
• Knowledge of industry systems (MFA, C3PO, Workday, etc).
• Knowledge of membership based experiences within the live entertainment industry.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• This role requires you to be in our Austin, TX office Tuesday-Thursday. This is NOT a remote internship opportunity.
• Currently enrolled in an accredited College or University. Preferably in a field related to the internship you are applying for
• Previous experience preferred (school, internship, or professional)
• Creative thinker and problem solver
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Must have own laptop to bring to the office
• Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook skills
• A strong sense of teamwork and ability to execute programs
• Preferred interest in music industry
• Commit to a minimum of 15 hours or 3 days per week on a part-time basis
