Job Description

The Department
CAA Sports represents more than 1,000 of the world's best athletes in football, baseball, basketball, hockey, soccer, tennis, action sports, and golf, in addition to coaches and other pre-eminent personalities. Beyond on-field athlete representation, CAA provides unique opportunities for clients off-field, in areas including endorsements, licensing, speaking, philanthropy, video games, and digital. CAA Sports also works in the areas of broadcast rights, corporate marketing initiatives, hospitality, trademark licensing, and sports properties for sales and sponsorship opportunities, and oversees the development, design, and construction of major sports stadiums and arenas globally.
The Role
CAA Sports is seeking an Assistant to support the Executive who oversees departmental operations as well as marketing & client management for the Hockey department. This Assistant will provide administrative support to the Executive, manage their day-to-day needs and will be a resource to the department as a whole. This department focuses on client recruiting & development, marketing & client management and contracts. The ideal candidate should demonstrate excellent organizational, written and verbal communication and multi-tasking skills.
Responsibilities
• Provide administrative support and general office management tasks to ensure efficiency of day-to-day operations
• Answer phones, respond to emails, manage schedules and coordinate internal and external facing meetings
• Schedule travel arrangements such as booking flights, cars, and hotel reservations
• Arrange, shadow and participate in client facing meetings and calls
• Preparing and manage expense reports to ensure timely reimbursements
• Utilize internal applications to track data, conduct research and stay up-to-date on industry news
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders including colleagues, clients, teams, leagues and brand partners to ensure smooth flow of projects
• Assist with special projects and research as assigned
• Support departmental projects as needed
Qualifications
• High level of customer service
• Ability to navigate Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple projects
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to understand and maintain confidentiality
• Team oriented and able to communicate and collaborate with employees at all levels
• BA/BS Degree preferred, not required
• No prior experience or background in Hockey is needed
