Position Overview:
The Product Approvals Manager will manage the product development and approval process for selected brands across multiple categories, such as toys, apparel, health & beauty, and food & beverage. The role involves ensuring that all products and marketing efforts align with brand guidelines, working closely with licensees, clients, and commercial teams. This position requires strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and the capacity to turn around submissions within 48 hours.
Responsibilities Include:
• Oversee the product approval process across various brand programs, ensuring adherence to brand guidelines
• Manage the critical path from product concept to mass production
• Collaborate with client leads and commercial teams to grow brand programs and ensure successful product launches
• Provide updates on product development projects during key client calls
• Build strong relationships with licensors, clients, and licensees to drive projects forward
• Use diplomatic skills to achieve approvals across different stakeholders
• Lead creative kick-off meetings and onboarding sessions for new licensees
• Manage brand style guides and asset distribution to licensees
• Maintain product approval trackers, status reports, and key process documents
• Where relevant, handle physical product samples and manage their distribution
Qualifications:
• Experience in product development and licensing approvals, ideally within consumer products
• Understanding of product development timelines and consumer product categories
• Strong initiative, multitasking ability, and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; Illustrator and Photoshop are a plus
• Growth-minded, collaborative, and accountable
Location:
This role will be based out of CAA's New York, NY, or Miami, FL offices.
Compensation:
The annual base salary ranges from $50,000 - $68,000 in Miami and $67,000 - $70,000 in New York, depending on relevant experience and location. Additional benefits and a discretionary bonus are also available.
