This is a Full Time Job
The Corporate Communications department manages global external and internal communications on behalf of CAA, with a Strategic Communications team managing media relations, speaking engagements, advertising, and internal communications; an Events team producing CAA-hosted and CAA-branded events; a Digital Marketing team, overseeing CAA's social media and web presence; and a Creative Services team of video editors and graphic designers.
The Role
The world's leading full-service entertainment and sports agency is seeking an Events Assistant within the Corporate Communications department. The position will report to the Head of Events and will support all CAA-hosted and CAA-branded events.
Scope of events includes:
• CAA parties across various departments (Television, Film, Music and Games, among others)
• High frequency of events in the LA office, including, but not limited to, screenings and client/business partner receptions, luncheons and summits
• Company social/culture events (mixers, celebrations, etc.)
Responsibilities
Duties include, but are not limited to:
• Providing full administrative support to the Head of Events, including, but not limited to, expenses, scheduling, phones, and calendar.
• Overseeing calendar bookings for CAA's LA in-house event spaces for events and client screenings and distributing booking requests to members of the Events team.
• Working closely with CAA's in-house catering, security, facilities and parking staff.
• Working closely with other departments within CAA.
• Bringing creative ideas to how we approach existing events, while being highly attuned to CAA's overall brand and to the specific audiences of each event.
• Providing on-site event support as assigned.
• Executing other duties as required.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have:
• Minimum 1+ years of administrative and/or event coordination experience
• Bachelor's degree in related field preferred
• Stellar organizational skills and ability to handle multiple projects at once
• High level of attention to detail
• High level of resourcefulness and ability to follow through on tasks with minimal supervision
• Strong writing and proofreading skills
• Budget administration skills (management, tracking and forecasting)
• Technology skills (e.g., ZKipster, Cvent)
• Professional and mature demeanor
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds, as needed
Location
This person will be based in the Los Angeles office Monday - Thursday, with flexibility to work remotely on Fridays, subject to manager approval.
Compensation
The base hourly rate for this position is $22/hour. This position also is eligible for benefits and discretionary bonus. Ultimately, wages may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, business sector, and geographic location, among other criteria.
