The D365 F&O Functional Analyst is a member of a highly-motivated team responsible for partnering with the Finance & Accounting department to evaluate, understand and deliver solutions for complex business problems. The team works as the interface for the purpose of solutions delivery, service management, risk management and relationship management.
The D365 F&O Functional Analyst is a full-time position responsible for analyzing finance business problems and implementing solutions in our Enterprise Services platforms. The Functional Analyst supports the user community, elicit, manage requirements and specifications as well as execute a variety of testing disciplines (test plans, scripts, unit testing and user acceptance) to drive development, adoption and validate results.
The Functional Analyst will report to the Enterprise Services Manager and act in a business relationship management function as described below.
Responsibilities
• Through interpersonal and presentation skills, effectively demonstrate the capabilities of D365 F&O
• Participate and lead workshops uncovering requirements to efficiently implement and enhance the D365 F&O platform
• Work collaboratively with a team encompassing many different backgrounds and experience levels
• Manage and document business and system processes making use of Microsoft cloud based tools including Azure Dev Ops and Lifecycle Services
• Training key users on the core job functions
• Identify and link functional and technical requirements to deliver an end to end solution
• Ability to learn and stay current with Microsoft's One Version to enhance the client experience with new and upcoming features
• Create and manage backlog of items by documenting business requirements and translating into technical specifications for solution implementation
• Manage requirements prioritization, implementation estimation and dependencies; traceability from business capability to test case
• Support on solution options analysis, risks evaluation and impacts on end-user solutions and services, business processes/workflows and system priorities.
• Support the development of business cases and contribute to the ''project greenlight'' process, including cost benefit analyses
• Support the development of the project management process, including project plans, project charters, reporting on status, accomplishments and risks
• Develop test plans and test case scenarios based on project requirements
• Assist and conduct user acceptance testing
• Supports monitoring and reporting on escalated issues or outages
• Works collaboratively with service managers to develop clear and concise communications with respects to incidents, problems, and change management as needed
Required Capabilities
• Experience using Dynamics AX 2012 or Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations is required
• 3+ years of implementation experience using Microsoft's D365 F&O and / or previous versions of Dynamics AX is preferred
• Experience with Finance and Accounting, Trade and logistics, and Expense Management is preferred
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience implementing Enterprise Services applications with specific knowledge of finance and accounting modules.
• Experience using Concur for expense and travel.
• Advanced Excel skills, in particular around data validation, pivot tables and reporting financial data.
• Expert in business workflow modeling.
• Exceptional oral and written communications skills.
• Demonstrate initiative and ownership of tasks and projects.
• Ability to prioritize, coordinate and complete tasks to meet deadlines.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and in team environments.
• Ability to present complex problems in simple terms with great presentation skills.
• Experience extracting insights from data.
• Experience in Agile or waterfall SDLC.
• Experience using requirements management tools and test management tools.
• Thorough understanding of GAAP accounting.
• Thorough understanding of source control, unit testing, and continuous integration practices.
• Possess the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high growth environment.
• Attention to detail to be vigilant in analysis to come to correct conclusions.
