Job Summary:
The Assistant will support an Executive in the TV Scripted and Unscripted Business Affairs department by handling various administrative tasks such as managing calendars, drafting and redlining agreements, and interacting with clients. The role offers exposure to entertainment law, with room for growth based on skill and motivation.
Responsibilities:
• Provide administrative support to an executive responsible for negotiating deals for writers, directors, actors, and producers in TV (scripted and unscripted)
• General administrative duties: letter drafting, filing, managing phones, calendars, scheduling, and expenses
• Edit, proofread, summarize, and redline agreements and correspondence under the executive’s supervision
• Assist in drafting and commenting on agreements depending on skill level and motivation
• Maintain awareness of the executive’s obligations to proactively assist and anticipate needs
• Serve as the first point of contact for clients, agents, and executives
• Track current and potential clients
• Assist with special projects, research, and information compilation as needed
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 10+ months of Administrative Assistant experience in an agency, studio, or talent management setting preferred
• Interest in pursuing a career in entertainment law preferred
• Ability to manage multiple projects, meet tight deadlines, and handle competing priorities under pressure
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Familiarity with film, television, or entertainment contracts is preferred but not required
Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) is required.
