The Role
The goal of CAA's Corporate Operations team is to more effectively and efficiently:
1. Communicate the goals and priorities of the agency to Corporate Departmental leadership
2. Provide visibility and help drive business Results
3. Uncover new growth and investment opportunities and potential areas of exposure to Operations leadership.
The Vice President of Corporate Operations will be responsible for achieving the team goals for their in-scope departments. This will be achieved by partnering with Corporate Department Heads across three key areas:
1. Operational Finance & Daily Operations
2. Employee Performance, Compensation & Employment Agreements
3. Project Management of Company-wide initiatives for their respective groups including all corporate departments globally.
Responsibilities
• Budgeting & Reforecasting: Drives the P&L, Capex, and Investment forecasting process working with Corporate Leaders to highlight and reflect their goals and priorities, submitting to FP&A
• Financial Reporting: Prepares monthly financial and operational reports tailored to the specific needs of each corporate group and presents to Corporate Leaders. Works with FP&A on quarterly reporting of corporate departments and assists in quarterly financial discussions with FP&A and Corporate Leaders
• Operational Finance & Daily Operations: Partnering with Corporate Leaders and operations executives to create and refresh Management dashboards and to help facilitate new Exec hiring approvals
• Employee Performance, Compensation & Contract Management: Partner with Human Resources to deliver end-to-end employment agreement management, help Leaders allocate available equity resources, and assist with continual improvement for mid-year review and year-end compensation processes
• Corporate Compensation & Contract Planning: Partners with Corporate Leaders and Human Resources at Year-End to drive cash and equity compensation decisions / allocations and year-round contract discussions; builds bottoms-up forecast of annual compensation to improve visibility for Corporate Leaders and assists in setting and tracking against Budget and Reforecast targets
• Cost Savings: Assists Corporate Leaders with regular cost oversight and management to help direct resources to the most critical areas in each corporate group; helping to set cost savings goals as needed, and tracks progress against those targets
• Company-Wide Initiatives: Coordinate and Project Manage company-wide initiatives including management dashboards and compensation process improvements
• Team Leadership: Recruit, train and manage junior resources over time and promote a culture of high performance, continuous improvement and commitment to quality
• Ad-Hoc Presentations and Analysis: Ideate and drive creation of ad hoc analysis as required
Qualifications
• 10+ years of progressive finance, accounting and operations experience
• Experience working with and developing relationships with Executive Leadership
• Proven track record of success facilitating progressive organizational change and development within a growing organization
• Ability to be trusted with extremely confidential information
• Entrepreneurial team player who can multitask
• Comfort with ambiguity
• Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills and the ability to effectively communicate complicated ideas in an easily digestible format
• Exceptional work ethic, attention to detail and proactive attitude
• Project management experience
• MBA or MS in Finance preferred
Location
This role will be hybrid based out of the Los Angeles office, with a minimum on site requirement of three days.
Compensation
The annual base salary for this position is in the range of $245,000 - $285,000. This position also is eligible for benefits and discretionary bonus. Ultimately, the salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, business sector, and geographic location, among other criteria.
