• Position: Broadcast Maintenance Technician at CBS News and Stations.
• Role Overview: Ensure optimal operation of broadcast technology for high-quality television and streaming content. Handle and maintain cutting-edge broadcast equipment and support the setup and operation of immersive virtual and augmented reality environments.
• Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and optimize performance of broadcast equipment during live TV broadcasts and streams.
- Assist in the setup, maintenance, and operation of virtual and augmented reality elements for enhanced viewer experiences.
- Collaborate across departments to implement and maintain advanced broadcast systems.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend and implement system upgrades.
- Conduct regular system checks, diagnose issues, and provide swift solutions to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with IT professionals to ensure efficient data flow and system integration.
- Train and support production staff in the use of new technologies.
