Overview and Responsibilities:
CBS News 24/7 is seeking an inquisitive and creative freelance WGA Digital Line Producer with a passion for news and broadcasting. The role includes supporting live news programming, editing video content, and managing rundowns for digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with Senior Producers and Line Producers during live news programs, making editorial decisions for breaking news coverage as needed.
• Write headlines and edit video for live digital broadcasts in coordination with video editors and social media teams.
• Optimize and manage live and on-demand video content for mobile, desktop, and OTT platforms like Apple TV, Roku, and Amazon Fire.
• Create and drive rundowns for weekend and special programming (e.g., originals, marathons, events).
• Guide CBS News 24/7 in and out of breaks and live/recorded content from the control room.
• Manage and schedule recorded content for future programming.
• Edit packages from Newspath and other wire content for overnight playback.

Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum 2 years of experience in production or content management (Cable, Broadcast, or Digital).
• Familiarity with Avid editing systems and ENPS.
• Availability for overnights, early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
