Digital Producer Streaming

Overview and Responsibilities:

WJZ-TV, Baltimore is seeking a Digital Producer of Streaming! Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
• Ability to make independent editorial decisions on editing, writing, producing, and highlighting news content consistent with station philosophy and brand objective.
• Respond quickly and optimally to breaking news across all platforms.
• Producing video with sound elements that evoke emotion and are memorable.
• Produce content for community initiatives and streaming.
• Will be responsible for working with both streaming and linear producers.
• Ability to multi-task, communicate and coordinate with on-air television assignment editors and producers.

Basic Qualifications
• Strong editing, editorial and writing skills with an understanding of newsroom operations.
• Must be a self-starter who can work independently to achieve digital goals.
• HTML, Edius(or knowledge of editing platforms) Photoshop, Microsoft Office, WordPress and Social Media Platforms. (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.)

Additional Qualifications
• Ability to write and edit scripts and video is important.
• Basic video and graphic design experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
