#### Job Description:
CBS News and Stations is hiring a Production Technician to support the production team in creating high-quality daily newscasts. This role involves technical setup, collaboration with production staff, and troubleshooting to ensure smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist production staff with fast-paced daily newscasts
• Set up microphones, operate audio consoles, and manage robotic cameras
• Shade studio and remote cameras, floor direct, and manage studio guests
• Collaborate with producers and technical crew to execute clean broadcasts
Required Qualifications:
• Solid knowledge and proven skills in news and studio production systems, including switchers, audio, CG, server ingest/playback, robotic cameras, and iNews
• Strong understanding of standard modern computer systems used in broadcast control rooms
• Commitment to quality and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with newscast production
• Strong computer skills and troubleshooting abilities
• Multitasking in deadline-driven environments
• Familiarity with news audio or studio robotics and a desire to expand into show directing using automation
