CBS MORNINGS is seeking a hard-working, creative, and enterprising Associate Producer to join the team! The ideal candidate will have a firm command of journalistic standards, a keen attention to detail, and excellent newsgathering and storytelling skills. They must also be calm and efficient during breaking news and a collaborative member of a newsroom. This person will primarily be focused on producing the show's daily “What to Watch†and “Talk of the Table†franchises, where they will select the headlines and topical content to include in those segments, research, clear third-party material, script, and work with editors in edit rooms. They may also be called upon to produce day-of-air tape packages on a broad range of topics for the broadcast.
This role requires working overnight/early hours leading up to the Monday - Friday broadcast.
Requirements:
• 3 years of television news work experience
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deal with tight deadlines
• Knowledge of current news and emerging trends
• Strong editorial judgement
• Clear and concise script writing
• Proficiency in visual graphics and elements
• Organizational skills and ability to multi-task
• Experience working with editors in assembling packages
• Excellent research skills, tracking down data and visual materials

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Hiring Salary Range: $56,000 - 75,000.
The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
