CBS was established in 1928, when founder William Paley purchased 16 independent radio stations and christened them the Columbia Broadcast System. Today, with more than 200 television stations and affiliates reaching virtually every home in the United States, CBS's total network lineup was watched by more than 130 million people a week during the 2012/2013 season. The Network has the #1 drama/scripted program, NCIS; #1 sitcom, THE BIG BANG THEORY; #1 newsmagazine, 60 MINUTES; and #1 daytime drama, THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS. Its programming arms include CBS Entertainment, CBS News and CBS Sports.
The CBS Page program is seeking individuals with an interest in learning more about the entertainment industry. As representatives of the CBS Guest Relations department, CBS Pages provide assistance to production companies on the CBS Studio Center lot by interacting with and assisting their audience members. This is a 2 year part-time opportunity that will allow individuals to be a part of the CBS team and gain hands on experience in the entertainment industry, develop personal and professional skills and gain insight into studio operations.
• Assist with managing audiences for television productions.
• Engage audience members, usher, and provide additional support when necessary.
• Provide temporary administrative support to various departments within CBS when necessary.
• Attend informational speaker events.
• Assist with special events when necessary.
• Must enjoy interacting with and engaging audience members.
• Must be flexible and detail oriented with excellent customer service skills.
• Must be energetic, personable, and passionate about CBS.
• Professional and tactful demeanor is required.
• Demonstrates a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Must be dependable, punctual, and exercise good judgement.
• Must be available a minimum of 3 days a week and able to accommodate a flexible schedule.
• Must demonstrate strong communication skills.
• Bachelors degree is preferred.
