The Director of Talent supports CBS Sports Talent relations efforts to engage with Talent for various Studio Shows, Sporting Events & appearances and ensures our Talent feels cared for with an emphasis on CBS Sports HQ!
Responsibilities
include but are not limited to:
• Responsible for the daily scheduling of CBS Sports Digital and HQ talent communicating these details to Talent, Production and Operations
• Help negotiate talent contracts and be a point of contact for people looking to join CBS Sports Digital and HQ.
• Maintain internal spreadsheets to track talent usages and adhere to budgetary guidelines.
• Track days worked of specific talent in order to meet contractual obligations
• Help build positive relationships within our team and external parties.
• Act as the main presence of the Talent Group in our Fort Lauderdale studios during the year and be the primary point of contact for Talent, high profile guests and Agents while in studio
• Aid guests and talent with travel logistics, expenses and corporate compliance
• Cultivate relationships with Talent and Producers while offering feedback and serving as a liaison between the two
• Contribute to weekly Talent Group meetings and provide weekly updates
• Pull clips weekly from shows/events to aid Talent evaluation & share them with talent
• Think creatively in terms of conceptualizing new ideas in regards to expanded programming as well as how to improve our productivity, efficiency and fiscal responsibility as a department
• Work with outside wardrobe vendors to handle and distribute Talent Wardrobe each season
• Working with the development team to be a primary contact for our internal Salesforce system and database
Basic Qualifications:
• 5 years working in sports, entertainment or media industries
• Working knowledge of the hospitality industry
• Strong passion for and comprehensive knowledge of Sports
• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality management, Sports management or related field
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills!
• Team oriented with the ability to interact with people across the organization
• Note: this role may require work on some evenings, weekends and holidays
• Schedule flexibility for travel
Additional Qualifications:
• Experience directly working with talent including contract negotiation and scheduling
• Proven track record of generating, negotiating, and finalizing deals
