CBS News is seeking an Executive Assistant to support the Executive Producer of CBS Mornings.
Responsibilities:
• Provide administrative support for the executive including but not limited to:
• Managing calendar and correspondence
• Coordinating travel and meetings
• Helping create follow-up lists
• Preparing expense reports, media requests and gifting
• Keeping the Executive Producer informed of changes
• Ensuring deadlines are met
• Assist with short and long-term projects, research, presentations
• Execute special requests such as leading studio tours and planning staff events
• Coordinate talent schedules and requests with Anchor Assistants
• Maintain notes and files by keeping and updating detailed records as well as track a variety of business documents in a secure manner
• Provide good judgment in monitoring and prioritizing information flow and meetings
throughout the day
• Exercise high level of discretion and judgment with sensitive matters and confidential information
Qualifications:
• BA/BS from an accredited University or College
• At least 1 year of relevant administrative experience within the broadcast industry
• Ability to be proactive, anticipate scheduling/organizational challenges, and suggest
solutions in a timely manner
• Must possess a professional and friendly demeanor; able to handle confidential material
in a discrete manner
• Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to interact professionally with internal and external executives and managers,
colleagues, organizations, and confidential data
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated interest in news and video content
• Organized and works efficiently and effectively under pressure
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Advanced knowledge of the Google suite of products, the Microsoft suite (Word,
• PowerPoint, Excel) and Internet resources
Preferred Qualifications:
• Preferably television, news or digital media experience and interest in social media
content generation as well as event planning.
