This is a Full Time Job
KTVT-TV is looking for a dynamic, aggressive, and creative Executive Producer with a clear vision of how to build a newscast and communicate that vision to the team. This includes story development, script approvals, graphics, animation, and pre-production from inception of story to on-air delivery. Must be a strong voice in the editorial meetings and bring to the table meaningful, impactful, and engaging story pitches.

Responsibilities:
• Review and approve scripts and rundowns to ensure accuracy and quality in accordance with station and FCC regulations and requirements; review newscasts before and after air in order to ensure accuracy, quality control, and awareness of any potentially litigious material
• Lead all aspects of additional assigned special projects from inception to completion.
• Ensure quality of product and thoroughness of coverage; assist News Director in evaluating staff members to promote peak performance and productivity; generate issues and trends story ideas to improve the quality of the newscast and to ensure continuously interesting, fresh news content
• Perform other essential functions as assigned
Preferred Education
, Experience, and Certification Requirements:
• Bachelor's or technical degree in Broadcast Journalism, Communications or allied field preferred
• Proven experience as a news manager preferred, with at least two of those years in a medium or large market
• Excellent organizational and communication skills required; must be results-oriented, innovative and demonstrate leadership and collaboration
• Strong breaking news skills required. Requires strong innovative skills
• Ability to incorporate social media and new technology into all the newscasts
