Producer

Overview and Responsibilities:

KTVT-TV, the Dallas-Fort Worth CBS Owned and Operated station, is in search of a newscast producer! The ideal candidate will have strong writing skills, excellent news judgment and proven advanced storytelling abilities.

Responsibilities
include but are not limited to:
• Identifying and building content as well as working closely with reporters on story development.
• Crafting a newscast that includes more than just story placement!
• Focusing on thoughtful transitions and breakout opportunities; strong tease writing; creative use of graphics; and advanced production techniques.
• Must be proven in the booth with effective communication skills, the ability to make quick decisions and manage breaking news.

Basic Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of proven experience as a line producer in a medium or large market preferred.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills required.
• Must be results-oriented, innovative, demonstrate collaboration.
• Willing to work weekends.

Additional Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or technical degree in Broadcast Journalism or related field preferred.
