DCP Technician
Location: Culver City, CA (On-site - local candidates preferred)
Type: Full-Time
Salary Range: $80,000-$125,000 (DOE)

Center Point Post is seeking a DCP Technician to join our Culver City team. We're looking for a technically skilled, solutions-focused self-starter who thrives in a client-facing environment and takes pride in delivering high-quality work. This is a hands-on role working directly with high-end clients in a fast-paced post-production setting.

Because of occasional late nights and weekend work, candidates located near Culver City are strongly preferred.

Prior experience with DCP creation is not required. We are willing to train the right candidate, particularly those with a background in editing software such as Resolve, Premiere, or Avid.

Key Responsibilities
Create quick-turnaround DCPs for work-in-progress feature films in collaboration with Assistant Editors, Post Production Supervisors, and filmmakers
Communicate directly with clients via phone, email, and in-person for technical consultations and support
Operate and assist with basic setup of our in-house screening room (no projectionist-level experience required)
Troubleshoot post-production software, hardware, and workflows
Research and recommend new tools, systems, and post-production workflows
During slower periods, assist with IT support, workflow development, warehouse organization, and other facility tasks
Safely transport and move heavy rolling equipment carts between locations, including navigating hills, ramps, and hallways

What We're Looking For
Post-production background (editing, mastering, encoding, etc.)
Comfortable using and troubleshooting Windows 10/11 and MacOS (Linux experience is a plus)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to interact professionally with directors, producers, studio executives, and other high-level clients
Calm under pressure with strong organizational and time management skills
Able to work independently while managing multiple tasks and deadlines
Must have a valid driver's license
Physical ability to move and transport heavy equipment carts
Willingness to work nights and weekends as needed

Bonus Points For
Experience with DVS Clipster, Colorfront Transkoder, DaVinci Resolve, Avid, Adobe Premiere
Familiarity with file types and deliverables: MXF, IMF, ProRes, DNxHD, Dolby Vision/Atmos
Knowledge of networking, storage systems, and finishing infrastructure (maintenance and setup)
Prior experience at a finishing, mastering, or high-end post facility
