Digital/Social Media Associate (2018-19 Season)

Position Overview:

The Chicago Bulls are seeking a creative & dedicated Seasonal Digital/Social Media Associate to assist with our digital content efforts primarily related to our social presence, but will also touch on our web & app content needs. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to craft content for Chicago Bulls committed fans all around the world. 

The flexibility of the schedule means that this opportunity could be a fit for someone who is still in school that wishes to get social/ digital experience before graduating. Ideally, you will need to be able to work in the office at least a few days a week, and for all home & away Bulls games, but are able work around other personal commitments. 

Job Responsibilities:

You will primarily be responsible for assisting in creating and publishing content, assisting with creative branded content shoots involving Bulls entertainers and corporate partners, and organizing posts under campaigns & clients to streamline reporting. More specifically, you are responsible for the following: 
• Work on game-days to help with live game coverage from social perspective – this will include creating content and publishing posts across social channels, photo editing, cutting video highlights, etc.
• Craft content and cover team activities across multiple areas of the organization, including basketball coverage, community events, and partnership events.
• Bring a creative eye and feel empowered to make suggestions and come up with ideas to improve our social media presence.
• Gain a basic understanding of HTML and the Drupal content management system and will assist in publishing and editing content on Bulls.com & the Bulls mobile app.
• Drive digital growth by actively participating in internal meetings and executing business partner opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Interest and background in digital / social media
• A real passion for content creation, social media, digital & sports
• Up to date on social media platforms, best-practices and content trends
• Ability to deliver simultaneous projects in a timely manner
• Experience with Adobe products and content creation in general is a 
• Passionate, enthusiastic and compassionate individual who has the ability to operate using both the left & right side of their brains
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Highly organized and strong time management abilities
• Strong communication (both written and verbal)
• Works effectively and quickly in a dynamic environment
• Initiative and dedication to challenge self and continually strive for improvement

Note that this role requires flexible work hours and may include work outside of normal office hours during the business week and on weekends.
